Boarding Accommodation

Boarding is strictly limited and will be offered only to regional students who have no other accommodation alternatives, that is friends or family with whom they can stay with in Sydney. Boarding students will be offered share accommodation at a nearby hotel and will be supervised at all times by two teachers. Students living within the Sydney Metropolitan and Blue Mountains area, the Central Coast and Wollongong will not be offered boarding facilities and will need to commute.

Boarding Scholarships

A limited number of scholarships are available for students who may need to board but whose economic circumstances may preclude them from applying. This will cover full or partial fees. Eligible students are those who, due to financial restrictions and without the scholarship, would find it difficult or impossible to attend the program. A letter of support from the school should accompany the application outline the student’s eligibility. The scholarships supplement the cost of tuition and boarding to the value of $800. The student will still have to contribute $100 to the course costs (the $50 NSW Creative Kids voucher can be used to reduce this cost to $50). To apply for a Regional Boarding Scholarship the following declaration must be signed by the Visual Arts teacher who has nominated the student to attend the NAS HSC Intensive Studio Practice.
