Susann Taylor is a multidisciplinary Australian artist based in Sydney on Gadigal Land. Taylor’s performative and installation-based works explore how space is inhabited in response to intense experiences, including grief, incarceration and death. Taylor’s work is held in the City of Sydney Public Art Collection and private collections, and has been exhibited in Australian galleries. Taylor is an architect with qualifications from the University of New South Wales and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts at the National Art School. Taylor received the Emerging Sculptor Scholarship in 2012 and the Dr John Vallance Prize for Sculpture in 2022.
