Pansy Harrison

Pansy Harrison (b. 2000) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sydney, Australia. He explores ‘pansification’ within his maximalist practice, experimenting with painting, sculpture, ceramics and drag. He utilises his artistic persona to visually manifest an androgynous spirit, representing an abundance of pride in his identity as a flamboyant, effeminate and homosexually queer individual. Rooted in queer theory, Pansy plays with abstraction and figuration to manifest a queer language through panchromatic colours, psychedelic repetition and biomorphic semiotics. Pansy experiments with his material and the gendered-body synonymously, constantly blurring the lines between fantasy and reality, representation and meaning.
