Mia McCall

Mia McCall (b. 1998) lives and works on Gadigal land (Sydney). Through a playfully embodied practice, which relies on collecting, chance and failure, she brings a quiet awareness to the poetics of the overlooked and the discarded. Her works are a cross between the found and the crafted, undoing original meaning yet allowing for associations to lead viewers perceptions only as far as they believe. Completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at National Art School in 2025, Mia went on to be an awarded a two week residency that she completed in February, 2026, at Schmick Contemporary in Chinatown, Sydney.
