Jon Potter is a Sydney-based artist and educator whose figurative practice applies a keen interest in historic painting to vignettes of contemporary life. His work investigates the convergence of aphantasia and doubt, experimenting with strategies that counter the inability to internally visualise, memorise, or dream. Practicing for seven years, Potter has featured in several exhibitions across Australia. Since undertaking his MFA, he has been included in the 2025 Lester Prize and awarded a High Commendation in the 2026 Gallipoli Art Prize.
