Ella Davison
Ella Davison (b. 2003, London) is a Sydney-based artist whose practice explores the physical and psychological relationship between the human body and the rock face. Drawing on her experience as a climber, she engages with climbing not just as a sport, but an act of presence and discovery, a dialogue with the landscape. Davison began her studies at City & Guilds of London Art School before relocating to Sydney, where she graduated from the National Art School with a BFA (Painting) and is now completing her Honours year. Her first solo exhibition, ‘The Crag’, was recently held at Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym. She also curated ‘Ab(sense)’ at Central Space and has exhibited in group shows at artist-run spaces across Sydney.
