Dawn McGuire
Language is powerful, evasive, ambiguous, inflated, fragmented, elusive, and oftentimes inadequate. Dawn McGuire’s practice engages with language and her own poetry. Disembodiment of text causes glitches in the mind. In the disorientation of context, amplified by using different materials like steel, fabric, and paper, new possibilities emerge.
« I play with words and fall into spaces between lines, and spaces around them. Language can confront us, but these wordy worlds are where I find at-one-ment.
