NAS supports the Voice to Parliament
On Gadigal land in Sydney, the National Art School (NAS) is a proud supporter of the Uluru Statement from the Heart and is committed to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament.
At NAS we acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather, work, study and make art, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. As a place of education and art making, we recognise the unique and enduring connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to Country and the profound importance of listening, learning, respect and understanding.
There are many voices and opinions around this important moment in history. NAS encourages everyone in the arts community and all Australians to inform themselves and work towards their own understanding of what this national decision means for all Australians. By voting Yes, we unite our voices to move forward together.
