APPLY NOW: 2027 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) program
Create NSW is currently calling all emerging visual artists in NSW to apply for the 2027 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) program.
The annual NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) program, delivered in partnership between Artspace and Create NSW, has been a long-standing and successful platform for nurturing NSW’s emerging visual artists. With mentorship and support from Artspace’s curatorial team, the prestigious Fellowship program offers a supportive platform for the next generation of NSW visual artists.
Six finalists will be selected to present work, earning them valuable curatorial support, feedback and engagement with the contemporary visual art sector and with wider audiences through the 2027 NSW Visual Arts Fellowship (Emerging) exhibition held at Artspace. One finalist will be awarded the $30,000 Fellowship to pursue a self-directed program of professional development.
Previous recipients of the Fellowship include National Art School alumni Amelia Skelton (2026), Ali Tahayori (2025) Gillian Kayrooz (2024) Morgan Hogg (2023), Eddie Abd (2022) and Dennis Golding (2020).
The 2027 VAFE program closes 2pm on Monday 14 September 2026.
