Antoinette Barbouttis wins Black Swan Prize for Portraiture

Congratulations to NAS alumna Antoinette Barbouttis who has been announced as the winner of the Black Swan Prize for Portraiture, held by the Art Gallery of Western Australia with her work Alexandra’. This year’s judges described her work as simultaneously powerful and gentle demonstrating a palpable connection between artist and sitter, sitter and artist.” Other finalists include MFA student Marie Mansfield and alumni Martin Claydon and Nicole Kelly. The exhibition is current until 26 November.
