Dobell Drawing Prize #21 is a biennial exhibition presented by the National Art School in association with the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation. The 2019 Prize is held for the first time at the National Art School and is part of the School’s Festival of Drawing. Celebrating drawing in all its diversity, the exhibition encompasses an exciting variety of technical and innovative approaches, including works on paper and canvas, as well as sculpture, performance, textile and animation. The 59 works here demonstrate the vitality and scope of contemporary drawing in Australia.
Please join exhibiting artists Brooke Leigh, Locust Jones, Jonathan McBurnie and Catherine O’Donnell for artist talks in the exhibition, moderated by NAS Gallery Curator Judith Blackall.
