Event Details

Each year, with the generous support of our donors Sharon Tofler and Mark Tedeschi AM QC, the National Art School is able to provide two ten week internships at Aboriginal Art Centres in the Northern Territory, at Ernabella Arts Incorporated and at Tapatjatjaka Arts. These internships provide graduating students with an opportunity to acquire practical arts management experience and training in an active Aboriginal community art centre environment. Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with artists and day-to-day arts centre operations.

Before you apply for the 2019 internships, come to this Art Forum featuring Samara Hyde-Page (BFA Painting 2017) and Anerleigh Simms (BFA Printmaking 2016). Hear about their experiences in working in a new environment, and ask them any questions you might have about undertaking the internship.Samara Hyde-Page worked at Ernabella Arts Incorporated in far north-west South Australia, and Anerleigh Simms worked at Tapatjatjaka Arts at Titjikala in the Northern Territory in 2017. Jordan Taylor is currently interning at Tapatjatjaka Arts.

Click here to apply. Applications for the 2019 internships close on Friday 9 November 2018
