The Prudence MacLeod Prize
Anna Mould

In 2025, Anna Mould was the inaugural recipient of the Prudence MacLeod Prize – a six-month studio residency program at Acme Studios in London. This opportunity is designed to support an emerging artist at a vital time in their career, providing a step forward into an expanded, international context. Anna will give an overview of her time in London as well as discuss the application process, her proposal, and how she approached her project as research and studio work. Reflecting on how the residency experience has benefited her practice and career, she will endeavour to provide advice and tips to students who might consider applying in the near future.

Anna Mould is an artist living and working on Gadigal, Wangal and Dharug land in Sydney. She engages with a wide range of media including painting, drawing, photography and textile work to examine how images and visual cultures shape and reflect hierarchies of power and relationships between people and land. Anna has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Dobell Drawing Prize and was the inaugural recipient of the Prudence MacLeod Prize in 2025. Anna graduated from National Art School with a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2021 and a Master of Fine Art in 2023.
