Each year, with the generous support of our donors Sharon Tofler and Mark Tedeschi AM QC, the National Art School is able to provide two ten week internships at Aboriginal Art Centres in the Northern Territory, at Ernabella Arts Incorporated and at Tapatjatjaka Arts. These internships provide graduating students with an opportunity to acquire practical arts management experience and training in an active Aboriginal community art centre environment. Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with artists and dayto-day arts centre operations.
Before you apply for the 2020 internships, come to this Art Forum featuring Claire Brown (MFA Sculpture 2018). Hear about Claire’s experience working in a new environment, and ask any questions you might have about undertaking the internship.
Claire Brown worked at Tapatjatjaka Arts at Titjikala in the Northern Territory in 2019.
