Winter School: Monday 8 July – Friday 12 July 2019

Join us for Winter School – a wonderful opportunity to experience an intensive week of study in the intimate studio environment of the National Art School.

Experience the National Art School’s studio-based programs, designed for students of all levels – whether you are a starting out as a beginner, furthering your studies, refreshing your teaching skills, practicing as an artist, or contemplating a full-time fine arts degree. Be inspired to develop your imagination, enhance your skills and create new and original artworks. Meet other art enthusiasts, listen to artists talks and join the growing community of NAS artists, students and alumni.

We’re looking for an Event Manager - Application Deadline Sunday 29 June

The Event Manager will have strong experience in hospitality, licensed venue operations, and event delivery. This role delivers a wide range of internal and external events, including Graduate Shows, Gallery Openings, Public Programs, Fundraisers, and Open Day. NAS also operates as a commercial venue, hiring the Cell Block Theatre for weddings, corporate events, and product launches.

We are seeking candidates with strong experience in the areas of extensive audit, governance or philanthropy experience, and strong art and education sector knowledge to join the National Art School Board of Directors. 

Our mission is to be a centre of excellence for the provision of higher education and research, scholarship and professional practice in the visual arts and related fields. Members of the Board play a vital role in long-term strategic planning and providing expert advice and support to the shareholding members and Director (CEO) on any matter relating to the school.
