Sarah Goffman is an Australian contemporary artist whose works often involve her reuse of everyday consumable items, particularly plastics, transforming discarded objects into socially engaged installations and assemblages. Sarah’s performance and installation works have been exhibited extensively, including in the current Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize at the NAS Gallery.
Sarah will discuss the art of collecting, finding the beauty in the everyday, and making use of materials close to hand.
Goffman completed a Diploma of Arts in Photography at NAS in 1994, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2000. In 2015, Goffman completed her Doctor of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong. Her most recent solo exhibition, I am not Gina Rinehart, concluded 29 April at 55 Sydenham Road.
