Support the next generation of Australian artists
For over 150 years, the National Art School has been the epicentre of fine arts education and a vital contributor to the arts and cultural sector in NSW.
In 2020, we have seen exceptional disruption to our everyday life, from devastating bushfires to the COVID-19 pandemic. During these challenging times, art students and emerging artists need our support more than ever. Investing in the development of emerging artists is needed to safeguard the future of visual arts practice in Australia.
As the leading art school in Australia, NAS trains the next generation of artists. Philanthropic support is vital to ensure the ongoing viability and sustainability of the National Art School, and it is through this generosity that we can remain at the forefront of visual arts education in Australia.
The National Art School has demonstrated great resilience. Despite the temporary closure of our campus in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we have adapted our unique teaching model of intensive studio-based learning. We have developed an innovative and creative platform for online learning, that enables our students to continue with their education and art making at-home, under the guidance of our leading practitioners.
Lockdown has inevitably presented unprecedented difficulties to many of our students and, as we look to recommence face-to-face and studio teaching for all students by July 2020, we ask you to support their return to campus where you can.
