Tim Maguire

Tim Maguire’s accolades include the 1985 Australia Council Travelling Scholarship undertaken at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, where he studied under Jan Dibbets, and the 1993 Moët and Chandon Australian Art Fellowship, which took him and his family to France, where they stayed before moving to the UK in 2002. Since 1984 he has held numerous solo exhibitions in commercial galleries around the world. Major solo exhibitions include a survey of largescale paintings, video and prints at Newcastle Art Gallery, 2017; and shows at Ikon Gallery, UK 2008; Bendigo Art Gallery, 2003; and John Curtin Gallery and Campbelltown Arts Centre, 2001. His work is held in many public, private and corporate collections abroad and in Australia, including the National Gallery of Australia, and all state public galleries.
