Course Overview

Unlock a whole new way to make your creative ideas a reality using Procreate – an iPad programme for anyone who wants to create art in an incredibly versatile way. Would you like to use the Procreate software for fine art creation rather than graphic commercial art styles?  Rose Morrison teaches you to navigate the interface and choose the specific digital tools to create life-like drawings and paintings, specifically for the fine artist, and mix the digital colour palette for unlimited colour choices.

Take advantage of what Procreate has to offer the fine artist by creating organic real-life style paintings, where you make the decisions, not the software. Gain insight into the best brushes to use, their settings and useful tricks to emulate authentic traditional art materials. Learn how to create digital fine art via traditional work processes, including creating canvas textures, the initial painting wash, brush handling, under painting, and painting in layers; as well as specific digital hacks that compliment traditional methods of portraiture, still life and landscape paintings.

A total beginner’s course in digital image-making for creatives.

Students will also have private access to live recordings of each lesson for revision and practice in their own time.

COURSE DELIVERY

Rose’s online studio course is taught with various programs and devices including iPad, Procreate, Zoom and Padlet. She is present in the online studio for the whole session and she responds directly to students’ questions with live demonstrations and discussions.

Rose will introduce you to the Padlet program during the course, it is a web application that allows users to post information and images on a digital wall. She will induct you into Procreate with great detail.
