COURSE OVERVIEW

Join us at NAS these school holidays to discover the possibilities of acrylic paint through a process of inquiry, experimentation, and play.

We will practice colour-mixing and using different thicknesses of paint on various surfaces. By way of experimentation, we’ll begin to explore how artists have used different paint techniques in their work.

We will have a quick look at the progression of painting through history and start to understand materials such as the title, scale, surface, mark-making, colour and framing of a work. We will also discuss alternatives to acrylic paint such as watercolour, oil, and spray paint.
