Bring your drawings to life in this stop-motion animation workshop led by 2019 Dobell Drawing Prize finalist Alex Karaconji. Learn how to tell different stories through drawing and stop motion animation. Be guided through activities where you can develop short and playful or long and complex animations using a range of drawing media such as charcoal, ink, acrylic and cardboard. Build skills in storyboard design, character development, using collage, adding movement and slide effects to animate each scene. Using elements of drawing and collage, you will create simple stories and animations using your own device. This workshop is fantastic for anyone interested in drawing, storytelling and movie-making.

This workshop is presented in collaboration with the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery as part of the 2019 Festival of Drawing at the National Art School.
