COURSE OVERVIEW

Tutor: Christal Rimmer

Drawing is all about observing closely the world around you. Learn how to ‘look’ at different subjects from a range of perspectives, and using a range of drawing materials, to practice the way you translate these observations onto paper. Be guided through a series of activities that help build skills in using line, tone, shape and composition to creating your artworks. Whether it’s looking over a foreground to a space beyond or looking while walking and drawing as you go, move from formal to expressive and experimental modes of drawing.

This workshop will explore different approaches to drawing than Monday’s Drawing Fundamentals and Experiments 1 class, and students won’t be ‘behind’ if they attend one or the other. If students attend both workshops, it just gives them more opportunity to expand their drawing skills!
