Course Outline

Learn to make drawings with a figurative theme by accessing the realm of your imagination, with easy-to-follow exercises that will help stimulate and connect you with your ‘inner vision’. Discover compositional drawing methods, working with collage and reference material to create compositions inspired by personal concepts and meaningful stories. Andrew Antoniou teaches tonal drawing and mark making techniques to draw the figure within the landscape. He shows you the numerous ways charcoal and Conte crayons can be used to create bold and expressive works. You will gain confidence using reference material and the imagination into a series of large-scale charcoal drawings that map the development and completion of ideas with emotional impact.

*Short courses are open to students of ages 16 years and over. For students under 16 years of age there are School Holiday Workshops, Art Club and other programs.
