COURSE OVERVIEW

Explore creativity and technique these holidays at NAS! Create your own graphic design with heatpress printmaking, learn how to harness your own expressive style in painting and drawing and give textiles a new life as soft sculpture.

Program includes:

  • Heatpress Printing
    • Explore colour, line and shape to create unique and personalised designs in this printmaking class. Create your own graphic designs to transfer onto fabrics. Work with text, line and shape to make an eye-catching design. Your artwork will be printed onto a bag and you can even bring along a light coloured cotton t-shirt to make your own graphic tee!
  • Expressive Drawing and Painting
    • Discover the power of expressive drawing and painting techniques to illustrate emotion, gesture and more. Increase your knowledge and understanding of the importance of medium, composition and form. Working in a variety of drawing and painting methods you will explore layering and composition to find your own style of seeing the world.
  • Sculptural Textiles
    • Explore and play with how material can be manipulated to make amazing soft sculptures. Will they be hanging or hold their own shape? Are they wearable or stand alone? Learn how to stitch, glue and build forms that have their own personality.
