COURSE OVERVIEW

Join us at NAS these holidays to choose your own adventure, give objects new life, have fun with clay, make your own original shirt, and draw with light. Each day brings a new and exciting opportunity to explore art.

Program includes:

  • Animation Adventures
    • Bring your drawings to life in this animation workshop! Working in the NAS drawing and digital studios you’ll learn about stop-motion animation and storyboarding to create your own adventure short story.
  • Crazy Critters
    • Create your own colourful bugs in this workshop using found objects. Work with unique combinations of shape, colour and line to bring your bug army to life.
  • Funky Forms
    • Create your own wonderfully wobbly and wacky forms in the ceramics workshop. Using hand building techniques including pinch, slab, and coil to create your own vessels that are unique! The objects will be fired for collection at a later date.
  • Graphic Tees
    • Who can build the tallest or wackiest skyscraper? Try this challenge and more as you work together with your fellow architects and engineers to build a futuristic city. Use simple materials like paper, cardboard, wire, glue, paint, and tape to build shapes and forms from the ground up – making sure your sculpture is strong enough to stand on its own!
  • Drawing with Light
    • Explore drawing with light in this exciting new workshop! Create your own unique light installations using torches, glow sticks, fairy lights and more. Learn about long exposure and low light photography to capture your amazing work on camera.
