As part of the Dobell Drawing Prize and the NAS Festival of Drawing, this will be a teachers’ VIP event where teachers will be given a curator’s tour of the Dobell Prize as well as spending 5 hours investigating Experimental Drawing techniques.
NAS in the Classroom: Drawing Natural History with Angus Fisher is a digital learning resource for teachers, providing scope for extending teaching and learning strategies in the classroom, while also contributing to maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

To coincide with the National Art School Festival of Drawing, learn how to render extinct species in pencil, pen and watercolour as NAS Alumnus and Printmaking Lecturer Angus Fisher guides teachers through natural history illustration using the conventions of scientific drawing.

Concession price is available to holders of a current Centrelink concession card, a NSW travel concession as defined by Transport for NSW, or are Alumni of NAS as defined:
Graduates of the NAS holding a degree, diploma or certificate of the NAS, including graduates of the art department of East Sydney Technical College, Sydney Technical College and Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education (between 1975-1977); and former students who have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study on any of the award courses included above.
Eligible concession card holders must bring their proof of eligibility to their first class. Alumni eligibility will be checked by the Alumni Coordinator prior to the first class.
