Nicola Smith

Nicola Smith has shown both locally and internationally and
undertaken numerous residencies across Australia, Canada and
the US. In 2015 she was shortlisted for the prestigious New South
Wales Visual Arts Fellowship for emerging artists and showed in the
exhibition of finalists at Artspace, Sydney. Notable group exhibitions
include Painting. More Painting at the Australian Centre for
Contemporary Art, Melbourne 2016; and the 2016 Redlands Konica
Minolta Art Prize curated by Mikala Dwyer. Smith is represented by
Sarah Cottier Gallery, Sydney. Her third solo show there, Girlfriends,
looking at Claudia Weill’s 1978 film, was in June–July 2018.
