Kevin Connor

Since his first exhibition in 1962, Kevin Connor has held more than 60 solo shows throughout his life, including over 25 participations in the Archibald Prize. Connor won the Archibald in 1975 and 1977, the Sulman Prize in 1991 and 1997, and the Dobell Prize for Drawing in 1992 and 2005. He was the Harkness Fellow in New York from 1966 to 1968 and a respected trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales from 1981 to 1987. The first major survey of his work was held at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 1989. In 2006 Hendrik Kolenberg curated a major retrospective of Connor’s drawing, sculpture and painting at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Connor is represented by Liverpool Street Gallery, Sydney.
