Idris Murphy

Idris Murphy has exhibited extensively since 1972. In 2017 he held a solo show, Real Presence, at King Street Gallery On William, Sydney and an exhibition of new work at Alcaston Gallery, Melbourne. In 2009 a survey of his work from 1986 to 2008, I & Thou, took place at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre, before touring other commercial and regional galleries. In 2014 he won the Gallipoli Art Prize and has been the recipient of numerous residencies in Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Murphy’s work is held in the National Gallery of Australia, all state gallery collections and in numerous regional, private and corporate collections. He is represented by King Street Gallery on William, Sydney.
