On finishing Honours at Sydney College of the Arts, Fiona Lowry was selected to show in Primavera 2005 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney. Her prizes include the 2008 Doug Moran National Portrait Prize; the 2013 Fleurieu Art Prize judged by Nigel Hurst, director of Saatchi Gallery, London; and the 2014 Archibald Prize. She participated in Wilderness: Balnaves Contemporary Painting, curated by Wayne Tunnicliffe in 2010, Art Gallery of New South Wales; Prudential Eye Awards, Singapore; and Dark Heart as part of the 2014 Adelaide Biennial, curated by Nick Mitzevich at the Art Gallery of South Australia. Her work is held in public collections across Australia. She is represented by Martin Browne Contemporary, Sydney.
