DOBELL REGIONAL TEACHERS’ WORKSHOPS
A Visual Arts project for teachers in regional NSW funded by the Sir William Dobell Art Foundation.
The 2018 Dobell Regional Teachers’ Workshop offers up to 15 places for Visual Arts teachers to engage in a two-day drawing workshop. This is a unique opportunity to work with a practicing artist from the National Art School, Sydney.
The workshops will function on a yearly rotating regional system whereby a different NSW area is targeted each year with classes held at a central location.
Participating Visual Art teachers will engage in five hours a day of intensive professional development in the area of Drawing within the studio-based tradition of the National Art School. Through the Drawing Workshop, a practicing artist from the National Art School will encourage workshop participants to share ideas and debate issues with peers while exploring the technical and conceptual directions of their work.
In 2018 workshops were held in Maitland in May and will be held at the CORRIDOR project Cowra in from Saturday, 17–Sunday, 18 November.
